It was AWSM's first New Year's Eve. It was announced as the “AWSM. NYE Skyline Special”: soft music and warm lights as the evening began, and at midnight a view of the fireworks across Vienna – over rooftops, streets and the Danube. The announced end was 04:00; the event page simply said “Late”. The photos are now in the “NYE Skyline Edition” album; AWSM added them to its gallery on 8 January 2026. ## The venue Oktogon am Himmel is an octagonal, glass-framed venue in the hills of Vienna's 19th district above Grinzing, with a 360° view over the whole city. This event was the 2nd of the 4 AWSM events with a photo album at this venue so far. ## The series AWSM celebrates New Year's Eve at Oktogon am Himmel, a glass-framed venue in the hills above Grinzing with a 360° view over the whole city and the fireworks over Vienna at midnight.
